News
of the Knights Summer
Knights Cancel Tombola Appearance: Due to the overwhelming amount of work going into the Italian Renaissance Festival, the Summer Knights unfortunately must defer from their appearance at the Belen Tombola school faire. With the upcoming Italian Renaissance Festival just two weeks away, His Lordship and Her Ladyship made the wise decision to rest their weary knights and allow them more time to prepare for the upcoming faire; Sir Daniel thanked us with great joy as it will undoubtedly allow him to finish the chain mail shirt (hauberk) that he is working on. Lord Magnus’ class will be hosting an archery booth and he will be giving out Summer Knights materials at the Tombola, but alas, none of the other endeavors that make Summer Knights so special will be represented, perhaps next year! However, this will make our appearance at the Italian Renaissance Festival all the more impressive! We hope to see many of you at the upcoming Faire (March 15 – 18, 9-5, at Vizcaya) and enjoy the beautiful setting of an Italian Villa with Knights (US!) sword fighting around its magnificent gardens and Biscayne Bay in view behind it all! It should be a faire to remember! The Summer Knights Corporate Round Table Over
the last few months Summer Knights has accepted Corporate Sponsorship from
a select group of Chivalrous Sponsors.
From our last Newsletter, we received interest from other Corporate
Sponsors who added their name to our Shield of Honour.
Best of all, this sponsor is the parent of a Knight that attended
Summer Knights last year; that means they know EXACTLY what Summer
Knights is all about and believe in sponsoring us because they have seen
the results! Thus, if any
Corporate Sponsors are interested in contributing to our Noble cause,
please feel free to contact us via email
or telephone (305-609-6048) and we’ll show you how a partnership with
knighthood works! Our Latest Sponsor is:

Hamlet! The Newest addition to the Summer Knights Mascots! Those knights close Lord Magnus and Lady Branwyn may
already know their three Brilliant
and Noble Cats: Merlin, Guinevere and Igrain.
But His Lordship and Ladyship wish to announce the latest addition
to their home at Ross Castle, Hamlet.
Hamlet is a black, Labrador-mix puppy about 5 weeks old and he will
undoubtedly be a fine Squire to Magnus in times of war and tourney.
One would suppose that if you can teach a dog to fetch, you can
also teach him to bring you your sword and shield!
All Hail Hamlet! The
new prince!
