Summer Knights Newsletter - December 2000, Volume 3 Greetings and Felicitations to all Goode Knights, Squires, Friends and Patrons interested in the continuing progress of Summer Knights and Chivalry in Action! It is Christmas Time and Lord Magnus and Lady Branwyn extend their warmest wishes unto you and yours during this time of great peace and reflection. We hope the Holiday Season brings joy and happiness to heart and hearth this year, and that the New Year is filled with the promise of health, good fortune and peace. This is a short, but particularly special missive containing Knightly-News about the up-and-coming events of the Summer Knights program. As usual, we extend an invitation to all who are interested in our program to send us their email address and, for those of you who already receive the newsletter, forward it to others; let others know about Summer Knights!

Knights to demonstrate their Knightly Prowess
At The
Miami-Dade Marital Arts Experience!
On Thursday, December 21, between 9:00am
and 4:00pm, Lord Magnus, Lady Branwyn and the Master Knights
will participate in a martial arts demonstration sponsored
by the Metro-Dade Police Department. The "Marital Arts
Experience", located at Barry University Athletics Gymnasium, is
an event that showcases the vast and varied styles of martial
arts (Karate, Kung Fu, Jiu-Jitsu, Kendo, Taekwondo, Kobudo and
now, Western European Swordfighting!) and benefits underprivileged
kids from the inner-city. This year, Summer Knights was invited
to demonstrate their Knightly Arts, both Medieval and Renaissance
Swordsmanship. Come join us in a day of fun and fighting!
The Barry University
Athletics gymnasium is located at North Miami Avenue and 113th
Street in Miami Shores; for more information, contact the Miami-Dade

This year the Summer Knights have been
asked to demonstrate their Knightly Arts and spread the word
of Chivalry at The
Award-winning Italian Renaissance Festival at Vizcaya. The
Festival, celebrating its nineteenth year, is held at the spectacular
setting of Vizcaya (a must see!) in Coconut Grove, Florida and runs March
15-18, 2001, 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Those who live in the
South Florida area should make an effort to join us; it is truly a
wonderful event! Mark your calendars now and spend the weekend
with the Summer Knights!

A Holiday Wish
from the Summer Knights
The Chivalry at Summer Knights wish to
extend their gratitude for all of the support and devotion others have
blessed them with this year. Without the care and efforts of the
many family and friends that help with the program's day-to-day
difficulties and challenges (from Duke Rafael's Engineering Prowess to
Earl Douglas' Tax Wizardry to Baron Samuel's Artistic Mastery to Sir
Laz' Noble Counsel), we would not have come so far and offer so many
the gifts of Chivalry, Honour, Courage and Knighthood. To
these great nobles and the many unnamed (you know who you
are!) who have given of themselves and have helped us grow, we
offer the hopes of a magnificent holiday season and only the best
for the coming year.
