List

See KNIGHTLY NEEDS page)
CLOTHING:
At Summer Knights,
Everyone proudly wears their
Household T-shirt
(available on Day 1 of each Session);
it's part showing your spirit for your brothers and sisters in
arms!
However, beyond the SK T-shirts, as
a Knight, you should wear clothes that can be painted or torn
without concern. In addition, as it is the summer, shorts are the wise choice for daily wear as are baseball
caps for archery practice and outdoor activities.
If you want to get into the spirit of the summer, then
you may consider wearing Medieval Garb!
Knights that wish to wear medieval garb (clothing) are
encouraged, as all staff members wear are in medieval regalia
on a daily basis and it certainly adds to the overall
experience. However, sweat pants, tennis shoes (NO
sandals or flip-flops allowed),
a
cup
and athletic
supporter
are required
for
all daily swordsmanship exercises and tournaments.

TOOLS:
v
Pliers:
(click here to see diagram) Two
pairs of
pliers are the minimum tool requirements for each
knight.
Pliers
can be either standard (small to medium in size) or
needle-nose variety; again, favoring a smaller size.
Additional pairs of pliers are useful in determining which
type best suits the knight and his armoring skills.
Cutters are a good addition as well!
v
A
small toolbox: Any
small,
plastic tackle or toolbox will do. The lid should
be off a type that can be closed tightly and securely.
This will be used for saving steel rings and other armoring supplies.

LUNCH
Lunches
are provided through The Elks Catering Service.
Lunch service is $4.50 per day based upon a
two-week commitment plus an additional $9 for The
Feast on last day of each session; hence, the
total cost for lunches are $45 for session 1 or session 2 . The purchase of the lunch service is
required unless dietary restrictions (i.e. vegetarian
meals or food allergies) require specific foods
outside of the normal, cafeteria fare.
Lunch
fare is quite simple and includes a rotating schedule
of sandwiches, hamburgers and hotdogs with chips or
fries and a soda.
If you want more food, you may want to bring
extra as we try to keep things simple in order to have
as much fun as possible, not waste time eating!
Lunch service checks can be made separate from
initial payment and turned in on the first day of the
program; cash or a check made payable to Summer
Knights is acceptable.
This does not include lunch on the field trip
to the Everglades Archer's Club and thus is the
responsibility of each Knight.
Hence, bring a bag lunch and a cooler to the
Archery field trip.
Note:
As the summers are furiously hot, it may be wise (and
cost effective) to bring a small, personal cooler with
drinks to the young knight's liking; water, however,
will be in ample supply at all times.
